Beloved: Be loved, BE love

To allow yourself to be loved is the scariest, riskiest, most vulnerable thing you can do. It’s no wonder that it is also the most rewarding, most fulfilling, edifying thing you can do as well.

The greater the risk, the greater the reward. The greater the reward, the more obstacles you will have to overcome to achieve it. We’ve all been hurt before. We’ve all hurt others before. Don’t let your history rob you of your destiny.

No matter how quick and high-tech our world becomes, at the end of the day, whether we admit it or not, we’re all searching for the same thing: love.

I implore you to slowly (but confidently) make space for love in your life. Love is a seed that will spring forth a bouquet of health, happiness in your life; the REAL joy. Not the “joy” that we attach to our things (money, jobs, possessions, etc) hoping they’d become sweet substitutes.

A big part of my purpose on this Earth is to live a life that gives hope to people around the world. It’s not that my life is perfect or that I don’t suffer from things…because it’s not and I do. But I know beyond the shadow of doubt, that most (if not all) of what ails us stems from a lack of being able to RECEIVE love. Chances are, if you can’t receive it, you can’t give it…thus completing the cycle. •

Forgive those who hurt you. Forgive those who tried and failed to love you. Recognize that it was from a lack of love that they were never fully capable of giving love to you or themselves. And as you slowly forgive and heal, allow your heart to soften. And a softened heart is sensitive to the sweet siren song of new love. Allow your heart to harmonize with new love, true love. Agree with it. And out of that agreement, that connection, allow yourself to birth new love into the lives of the people you encounter.
