The Crown Is Hidden In The Struggle

Life is not a 2 hour hero flick directed by Sylvester Stallone. Stop comparing the timeline of a fictional character to the arc of your life. In the movie, his training montage may last a mere minute and thirty seconds. In real life, yours may last 5 years or more! But in that 1:30 seconds, if our hero would’ve aborted the process, by reducing his developmental period to a couple of seconds, we surely would not have believed that he could defeat the likes of an Ivan Drago…whose sole purpose was to break him.

You have no idea what battles await you. You have no idea what is to be gleaned from the current struggle. What we do know is that there is a strength, an understanding, a revelation that can ONLY be obtained through struggle…the sweat, the blood, the tears, the anger, the doubt, the fear.

In your pursuit of the belt, the crown, resist the urge to prematurely abort the training montage. If you must suffer, and we ALL will, you might as well get your money’s worth.

Stay hopeful.
